Welcome to our small independent hotel, right in the heart of Uppsala’s historic quarter. Akademihotellet is the hotel accommodation for those who want to discover Uppsala, are at a conference or a course, or want to treat yourself and your dearest one weekend together.
You live in our cozy hotel rooms with charm and interior details from the 1930s when the house was built. You will have a view either towards Pelle Svanslös’ (a famous swedish literary character) neighborhood and the old library Carolina Rediviva or towards our back yard and the Uppsala Cathedral. With us, we want you to feel at home.
Ask us, and we will advise you on everything you can find near our hotel. Everything from walking in parks, visiting Linneaus´ botanical gardens, walking in the footsteps of cultural giants such as Karin Boye or Ingemar Bergman, to visiting museums or Dag Hammarskjöld’s tomb. Or why not combine dinner with a visit to the cinema or theater? In the morning we serve you a much-appreciated breakfast buffet in our breakfast room. In addition to our 41 hotel rooms, the hotel also has two furnished apartments, perfect for a family stay, and five modern conference rooms for up to 50 people in cinema seating.

Superior Twin Room
Our renovated twin rooms features two 90 cm wide beds (can be separated), armchair and a desk. The rooms are facing the street and offers great charm and décor from the 1930s when the house was build. Bathroom with shower. Breakfast is included in room rate.
Standard Twin Room
Akademihotellet´s Standard Twin rooms features a homey furnishing with two single bed 90 cm, armchair and a work desk. A perfect room for couples as for colleagues sharing a room (beds can be separated). Bathroom with shower. Breakfast is included in room rate.
Standard Single Room
Book one of our standard single room, perfect when you are on a business trip or travelling with your child. The rooms have a homey furnishing with one single bed 90 cm, work desk, armchair and a sofa bed. Bathroom with shower. Breakfast is included in room rate.
Economy Room – shared shower
Economy rooms offers a private WC in the room and access to shared showers in the corridor. These rooms are located on the top floor and are furnished with one or two beds, 90 cm, and a sofa bed. For your convenience, there are bathrobes and slippers in the rooms. Breakfast is included in the room rate.
