Clasonska gården – 13 Unique Suites with History in the Walls
At Clasonska gården, one of Uppsala’s oldest preserved buildings, an exclusive hotel experience awaits. The carefully restored property offers 13 individually designed suites – from intimate rooms to spacious suites – spread across three floors.
Each floor reflects a century of the building’s long history: the 18th century, the 19th century, and the early 20th century. Guests enjoy views of Uppsala’s cultural landmarks, including the castle, the cathedral, Övre Slottsgatan and Odinslund.

Akademihotellet’s cozy hotel rooms are renovated with unique wallpapers and interior details as well as modern elements inspired from the 1930’s. The rooms offer bathrooms with showers and lovely underfloor heating as well as the hotel’s own shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body lotion. On the top floor, we also offer Economy rooms with charming, slanted ceilings, WC, and access to a showers in the corridor.

Next to Akademihotellet, in the heart of academic Uppsala, Clasonska gården has now opened as an intimate boutique hotel. This historic building has been carefully restored and transformed into an exclusive hotel offering 13 individually designed rooms.
The interiors reflect the many eras the building has lived through, from the 18th century onwards. As a guest, you are invited on a journey through time, where each floor is inspired by a different century and the history of the house is woven into every detail.
Exoticism/Chinoiserie – 18th century
A wind from the 18th century sweeps through the entrance floor, bringing influences from the Far East and leaving its mark on the room´s interiors.
Industrialization/Steampunk – 19th century
The middle level breathes 19th century futurism in the footsteps of Jules Verne with the technological and scientific discoveries of the time, as parts of the room´s stories.
Arts & Crafts – 20th century
